She was born the daughter of the late Otto and Ruth (Rager) Speicher. She was a 1943 graduate of Lagro High School and was married on Nov. 27, 1945. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of LaFontaine United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include a son, Jay Hoch, Legnano, Italy; two daughters, the Rev. Judith Hoch-Wray, New York, N.Y., and Mrs. Anita (Rudolf) Ketchem, Wabash; a brother, Meredith E. Speicher, Wabash; grandchildren Jessica and Daniel Wray, both of New York, N.Y., Valarie Van Camp Omlor, Fort Wayne, Kelley (Matthew) Sarll, Wabash, Michael, Matteo and Valentina Hoch, all of Italy; stepgrandchildren Thomas (Robin) Ketchem and Shoji (Corazon) Ketchem, both of Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Madison Sarll, Wabash, Zane Omlor, Fort Wayne, Melanie, Mindy and Utami Ketchem, all of Pennsylvania, and Shozo and Masayoshi Ketchem, also of Pennsylvania; and nieces, Karen (James) Thompson, Colleen (Gregg) Gatzimos-Reed and Coral Kirby.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Wayne Ray Hoch; a sister, Lodema Speicher Kirby; and a brother-in-law, Russell Kirby.
