Shirley L. Dippre, 57, of RD#3, Stroudsburg, died Thursday morning in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Robert Dippre to whom she had been married for 34 years in June of this year.
Born on October 24, 1940 in Analomink, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Miller) Winters and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
A graduate of Stroudsburg High School, she was a licensed practical nurse having worked as a home health nurse for several different agencies over the years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church and the T.O.P.S. Club, both in Tannersville.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Karen, wife of Guy Doleiden of Bartonsville; two sons, Joseph Dippre and Jeffrey Dippre, both at home; three brothers, Paul Winters of East Stroudsburg, Harold Winters of Victorville, Calif., and Clifford Winters of Bushkill; two sisters, Betty Whitmore of Nicholson and Lulu Winters of East Stroudsburg; a grandson, Greggory Doleiden of Bartonsville; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 29 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Route 611, Tannersville, with the Rev. Henry E. Zapotocki as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Shoemakers, Middle Smithfield Township.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, .
