Dorothy V. Bauer (nee Snyder), 72, of Wescosville, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Scharle) Snyder. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church where she played in the Ladies Bridge Marathon. She was employed as a benefits administrator for Lehigh Portland Cement Co. in Fogelsville for 12 years retiring in 1996. Previously she worked for First Valley Bank in Bethlehem, Beyer Barber in Allentown and Mass Mutual Life Insurance in Allentown. Dorothy enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society and playing Bridge with her friends at the Allentown Senior Center. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors: Children, Edwin F. Harne, III and his wife Beverly of Charleston, SC, Susan P. Solenske and her husband Joseph of Allentown, and Kathleen A. Mount and her husband William of New Boston, NH; grandchildren, Joe Solenske and his wife, Tracy, Justin Solenske, Kory and Jacob Mount; great grandchildren, Shaelyn, Tyler and Kendall Solenske; and nieces.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William A. Snyder, Jr.

Services: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Mass of Christian Burial, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Calling hours 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Wecosville. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
