Elaine Hancock Devey, Born November 29, 1932 (age 79) passed away on November 12, 2012 after years of struggling with her health. She was born and raised in Bluebell, Utah and moved with her family at the age of thirteen to Salt Lake City. She met and married the love of her life, Bill, in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22, 1952.

Elaine was a wonderful sister, wife, mother and grandmother who enriched the life of her family and all those who knew her. She had many interest and talents. She was an excellent cook and seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, reading, writing poetry and always had a song in her heart. She enjoyed camping and loved to travel with her husband and family. Many new friends were made in their later years, as she and Bill spent time snow birding in Arizona. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in many capacities. She especially enjoyed being know as "nursery grandma". One of her greatest loves was genealogy work and family history.

Elaine is survived by her husband, William H. Devey, and children, Duane (Julia) Riverton, Daryl (Carren), Ron (Penney), Shirlene (Denzil) Jenks, Jalane (Paul) Ludlow, Blair (Nina) of Alpine, and brother Glenn (JaNeal) Hancock. She was known as Grandma to 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Alva Dewey and Florence Wathen Hancock, brother Morris Hancock, sisters Donna Williamson and Elva Anderson, son, Brian Lee Devey; and grandsons, Steven Devey, James Jenks, and William Allman.

Viewing will be held at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East American Fork, on Friday, November 16th from 6:00-8:00 pm.
