Pat was born in Brenham, Texas, to the late Carl O'Neil and Nesa Marie (Melancon) Smith. On September 14, 1972, Pat married Melvin Wayne Klussmann. She was a graduate of Brenham High School, the class of 73. Pat was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn where she taught Sunday School, was a youth league sponsor, and member of the LWML. She was a Sandy Hill 4-H Club manager for 25 years, a Girl Scout leader, and AAL Branch 2247 Secretary. Her employment was Office Manager of Herwald Pest Control for 19 years, and Accounts Receivable Department at Blue Bell Creameries for almost 16 years. Pat could not go anywhere without her camera, she was on the Country Creations Committee of Washington County Fair. Pat cherished spending time with her grandkids at sporting events, livestock shows, and many other activities.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law; and honorary father, Johnnie Driver.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Wayne Klussmann; daughters, Sharon Schwartz and husband, Jeff, of Brenham, Robin See and husband, John, III, of Snook, and Megan Fridye and husband, Christian, of Brenham; grandchildren, Hanna Schwartz and husband, Logan, Carlee, Natalee, William and Wesley See; her beloved puppy Abby; sister, Cathy Wilde and husband, Richard, of Boonsboro, Maryland; brothers-in-law, Raymond Klussmann and wife, Gloria Ann, of Brenham, and Randy Klussmann and wife, Lois, of Brenham; sister-in-law, Rosemary Thornton and husband, Bobby, of Dobbins; honorary son, Wade Collins and wife, Mandy, of Chanute, Kansas; honorary mom, Edna Driver, of Spring; honorary grandchildren, Sage and Lawson Collins; and special friends, Melvin and Shirley Ashorn, John and Susan Karbowski, Sheryl Schroeder, Lynn Van Eman, Blue Bell family, and William Penn crew; Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
