John R. Leffard died Monday morning at his home in Porter township, Huntingdon county. He was a veteran of the 125th regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, in the Civil War. The deceased was married in 1863 (sic 1866) to Maggie G. Brenneman, who died on September 23, 1901. This union is survived by two children, Mrs. J. I. Rishel, of Alexandria, and Ada, at home. On January 20, 1904, he married Mary E. Laird, who still survives him. Three sisters are also living.
