Linda Zook Nelson went to be with her Lord, from her home, November 2, at 11:59 PM after a short battle with cancer.
Linda was born November 9, 1948 in Columbus, Kansas to Carl Zook and Lenora Hilton Zook. They both preceded her in death.
Survivors include four children; Dee Whitehead and husband Dusty, Doug Walden and wife Anita, Crystal King and husband Brad, and Amanda Perry and husband Tom. Additional survivors include a sister Kay Garrett , brothers Vernie Zook, Larry Zook, and Rusty Zook. She was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Busker.
Linda had 12 grandchildren Adam Watkins, Ashley Smith, Kinley and Grayson Walden, Makalah Sisco, Bradley King, Izabell Smiley, Rowdy King, Lily Moore, Thomas, Isiah and Shiloh Perry. Also, two Great-Grandchildren, Lucas Watkins and Tucker Smith.
Linda worked as a waitress for many years. She also owned The Lighthouse Cafe for 6 years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Center Christian Church in Columbus, Kansas.
In honor of Linda, memorial contributions may be made to the Word of Life Church in Hallowell, Kansas, where she was a member.
