Lot 34, Con. 2, SDR, Brant Twp, Bruce Co.
About a mile south of Hanover, the road passes through a section made scared to all as the last resting place of its citizens. On the west side it is known as Crispin's Cemetery and on the east side it's called "the new cemetery". [Hanover's first cemetery was the little plot of ground given by Christian Hassenjager and may have been in the vicinity of the fairgrounds.] There was an even earlier cemetery than this about two miles east of the village and it was always called Switzer's Graveyard. Since it was too far for some residents, a four acre parcel was purchased from John Cripin at $40 an acre.
