Old neighborhood burial ground.
The Wilkins Cemetery is 2.7 miles northeast of Main Street, Littleton on Mann's Hill Road. It lies in the deep shade of maples & oaks and is carpeted in deep moss interspersed with blue myrtle.
Eighteen inscribed gravestones were found here in 2010 plus 12 graves marked by fieldstones, 1 by a footstone only, and possibly another marked only by a fieldstone for a footstone.
The only veteran's flag here marks the 1996 grave of a Navy Veteran of the Korean era, Jon C Purrell (1933-1996).
The earliest birth still recorded here is Ruth (Kelley) Hatch (1763-1837)
The earliest burial still recorded here is Daniel Wilkins (1769-1836), whose stone is badly broken., obliterating most of his name.
With the exception of a recent veteran's burial, the most recent stone is Mary, the 8-yo dau of I.H & L.S. Glovier (1871-1880).
