|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Cemetery is an active cemetery affiliated with the church of that name in Clairton, and has been serving as a burying ground for its members since the early part of the 20th century.
The earliest burial found in a recent survey was from 1909. The cemetery was closed to burials from 1927-1930 during a period of dissension between factions who supported union with the Roman Catholic diocese of Pittsburgh and those wishing to put themselves under the protection of the Orthodox eparchy. Church records before 1930 disappeared, but good records exist after that time through the present day.
The cemetery entrance now has a sign.
