If you look at the photograph of the state historical marker that appears at your website for the middle of these three cemeteries you'll see a reference there to the old church being less than a tenth of a mile from the marker (in front of the current church). Although the old church is no longer there, the original cemetery remains down there, enclosed in a neat stone wall. The older of the two sections of the new cemetery is adjacent the church and visible from the Middle Spring Rd. Like the old cemetery it is square or rectangular and surrounded by a stone wall. The newer section of the new cemetery is behind the older part of the cemetery, reachable by a drive (and from the church parking lot) but not easily visible from the road, and is not surrounded by any stone wall. |
