|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Location: From Palestine, at Loop 256, take US 84 east 9.6 miles and bear right onto Anderson County Road 1231. The cemetery and church are just on the right.
A Texas Historical Marker is in front of the church and in part says: The cemetery may have been in use prior to the date of the church organization (in 1852), as there is evidence of more than 100 unmarked graves identified only by iron ore rock, native to the area. The oldest marked grave is dated Nov. 8, 1858. The burials include many pioneer settlers and their descendants and veterans of the Civil War.
There is an annual homecoming on the grounds.
