Cemetery notes and/or description:
The cemetery is located halfway between South Amenia and Wassaic on Benson Road off old Rt. 22. It is on a hillside above the old steel works, which no longer exist. It is now entirely neglected.
There a total of 26 inscriptions copied by L. Van Alstyne of Sharon, CT, in 1903.
The earliest settler of Amenia, Richard Sackett who died in 1746, was buried in this enclosure, but the stone at his grave has since disappeared.
