The Tom Dooley Cemetery is located 1.1 miles from the intersections of Hwy 268 and Tom Dula Road. The family name is Dula, pronounded "Dooley". The cemetery is on a bluff about 12 feet above the road and cannot be seen from the road. Entrance is from about 300 feet east of the cemetery. The location is not marked. The gravesite is on privately owned property but accessible to the public. The site is reached by a primitive path which is parallel to the road. It is not in the pasture. Follow the path west to a clearing. There is only one grave at this site. Parking is almost nonexistent. It is approximately five miles west of the Laura Foster gravesite. He was hanged for the murder of Laura Foster.
