|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located in Lincoln County, Maine on private property. This land was the Hatch family farm, owned soley by the Hatch's since its inception by Jonathan Hatch in the 1770's through about 1920 when the Kennedy family bought it and established Camp Kiev in 1926. The camp closed in 1977 and remained dormant for years. Threats of development in the 1990's brought together a group of former campers and conservationists, into the Wavus Group organization, with goal of saving the camp and its wilderness. It remains operated by the Kiev-Wavus Education, Inc. for a variety of programs and camps: boys, girls, day camps, resident camps, family reunions, ladies weekend wilderness adventures and more.
