PRIVATE PROPERTY. In 1936 a Texas Centennial Marker was placed at the site of the burial of Elisha Roberts, his wife, and their daughter, which is four miles east of San Augustine in east Texas. That marker was still in place as of 2013. The wording on the marker is as follows:
