Gozo and Comino Malta
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
On the Island of Gozo, Santa Maria Cemetery lays on the outskirts of Victoria, the island's capital. Victoria was named after the English monarch Queen Victoria, to commemorate her Silver Jubilee in 1897. Many locals still call it by its original name, Rabat,
Note: This cemetery had been incorrectly created as Santa Maria Addolorata (Victoria, Gozo), but was corrected December 2011. It is not at all the same cemetery called Santa Maria Addolorata in Paola on the neighbouring island.
