|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Near the 8500 block of Croome Road (RT 382)
Established in 1785, it was the home of Bishop Thomas John Claggett who was the first Episcopalian Bishop in the United States. The estate was named "Claggett".
Bishop Thomas John Claggett and his wife were moved to the Washington National Cathedral on Mount St. Albans, Washington, D.C. in 1896. His children's remains were left and the cemetery is in disrepair. A subdivision, "Marlton" sits upon it now, all the stones had been broken and the graves were dug into.
