Greater London England
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Crypt is the only visible remains of a medieval priory that belonged to a Carmelite order known as the White Friars. At its pinnacle, the priory extended from Fleet Street to the Thames, surrounded by the Temple in the west and Water Lane, now Whitefriars Street, in the east., and included a church, cloisters, garden and cemetery. The original Whitefriars Crypt can be viewed, as it is housed in a section of the law firm of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer at 65 Fleet Street, London.
