Directions: From Sylacauga Go North on Hwy 21. The Cemetery is north of Tallasahatchee Creek just past mile marker 214.

The Cemetery has also been known as the Bledsoe-Taylor Cemetery and the Taylor-Cook Cemetery.

The Cemetery is on the "Old Cook Place". It has also been called the "Hightower Place".

The land was owned by Benjamin Bledsoe in the 1840's.

Jesse Taylor and his widow, Emily J. Taylor, lived on the land prior to his death in 1855 and her death in 1856.

The land was owned by Captain Walter Cook in the 1850's to the 1860's. Captain Walter Cook was killed in the Battle for Salem Church in Virginia in 1863.

The land was bought by the Hightowers in 1927, according to information from the Library of Congress, Historic American Buildings Survey, ALA-439), 1936. It was sold to a new owner in 2015.
