Cemetery notes and/or description: Barber Road lies south of Jewett City. It is about .25 miles to the south of 395 on 164. Barber Road lies to the east of 164 and the first hundred feet is paved. After that it is a dirt road which runs to Rte. 138/Pachaug Rd. Barber road can only be entered from 164; there is no entrance from Rte. 138. The cemetery lies about midway between 164 and 138 (about .5 miles from 164) but it is several hundred feet off the dirt road and cannot be seen from the road. It lies in a swampy area and access is difficult. When leaving Barber road you should head roughly southeast on foot. There are numerous burials here, but there is little if any upkeep.
George Geer's stone is a memorial put up years later by his descendants. It apparently reads "OUR ANCESTOR, GEORGE GEER, ENGLAND 1621, 1726 AE 105" (Some of the years on the stone are difficult to read, but surely "1621" and "1726" were intended and subtracting one from another and produce an age at death of 105.)
