This is a Military-Municipality and Inactive. Founded and used from 1801-1911 Location: Approx. 200 ft. north of the Thruway, approx. 500 ft. west of the River Road bridge spanning the Mohawk River. It was first read, transcribed about 90 graves and originally compiled by Dale W. RICHARDS during the Summer of 1977 latter transcribed for the Montgomery County, NY. Genweb by Skip DUETT.
July 2009-nearly 100 years after it closed and long ago abandoned, Lawrence SCHOFF a descendant of Milford Van SLYKE, for several years, has been in the process of trying to restore the Mindenville Cemetery . He has cleared off the cemetery of brush, dead trees, branches and debris. He has discovered about 130 graves and has repaired at least 50 stones so that they are up and standing on their own, a year ago they were on the ground.
