Cemetery notes and/or description:
As you enter South Sutton from the south, you will see a historical monument and a church in the center of town, where the road forks. The cemetery is about a quarter mile past the church on the right hand fork, which is a dirt road, on the right hand side behind a rock retaining wall. The cemetery slopes down from the road. It has had a recent, expert restoration: The marble stones are all gleaming white and many have been straightened. It is a stunning, beautiful old cemetery, where the most recent interment seems to be around 1926, the oldest around 1808, and most in the mid 1800's. A number of veterans of the Civil War--soldiers of the New Hampshire Volunteers--are buried here.
