|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
William and Mary's graves are a little difficult to find, it took me three trips to locate them. From Dungannon take Rt 65 East across the Clinch River, turn right on Co Rd 659, this River Bluff Rd. Stay on this rd until you come to the Nancy McConnel and Philip Dingus Monument, about 5 miles on the left side of the rd. beside the monument there's a trail (an old road) that will take you to the top of the bluff. Its a steep clime. As you approach the top of the bluff the trail/road splits/forks The old home place is to your left Where the trail/road forks continue to the right. the trail forks again stay to the right, be looking for red masking tape wrapped around a tree beside the trail, right side. When you find the marked tree you are half way there (total distant from the old home place to the graves is about 1 mile) the trail is marked with red masking tape wrapped around trees.
