|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Also called Orangeburg City Cemetery, this burial ground is located at the intersection of Bull and Windsor Streets. The Orangeburg Cemetery was founded on April 5, 1889 to meet the needs of the city's African-American citizens. It was restored in the 1970s and 1980s, and responsibility for the site was transferred from the private Orangeburg Cemetery Association to the city of Orangeburg in 1994. In 1996 the cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
