|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
On an all-but-forgotten bit of land, under shaded trees, with the slate blue stones settling gently into the earth, is this cemetery, a gift to the Town of Sherborn from Joseph Perry Esquire, March 7, 1785. The first person to be buried there was Luther Perry, February 22, 1785. He had died at age 21, having three years service behind him at that young age. His Uncle Joseph Perry, who had given the land, did not die until April, 1789, in the 88th year of his life.
