|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Kikungshan Foreign Cemetery supported the resort area of Kikungshan, a favorite resting spot for missionaries; as well as the American School Kikungshan (ASK), a school for missionary children.
Like so many others, this cemetery was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Some 30 missionaries and family members were buried there between 1920 and 1939. In 1993, the alumni of ASK received permission to erect a Moongate on the location of the Cemetery. It was designed by Edward Sovik, architect and an alumnus of ASK.
