|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church has a walled memorial garden on church grounds. Those who have been cremated may be inurned in this beautifully landscaped and intimate space.
The garden has benches and a small altar to encourage reflection and prayer. The path into the garden forms the shape of a cross.
Niches are located on the east and west sides of the garden. If your loved one's niche is located on the east wall, you may prefer to visit in the morning; if on the west wall, you may prefer to visit in the afternoon. Regardless of the time of day, you will find a quiet place to linger.
To reach the memorial garden, go to the Springhouse Lane side of the church. Paths lead from the street to both the east and west sides of the memorial garden, which is surrounded by a brick wall.
A staircase inside the church building also leads down to the memorial garden.
Founded in 1953, Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church is associated with the Pittsburgh Presbytery and is part of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
