Grand View Memorial Park Also known as: Grand View Cemetery, Grandview Memorial Park | |
Cemetery notes and/or description: Established in 1884, Grand View Memorial Park is one of the oldest cemeteries in the Los Angeles area, and the oldest in Glendale, CA.
Although it has been closed for regular business since June 13, 2006 due to various legal and regulatory reasons, it remains accessible under a preservation order by the court. The court's preservation order allows visitation on several pre-approved dates and times each month.
There is a core group of FindAGrave volunteers who are uploading interment records and fill photo requests. More than 90% of all interments have been documented, and photo requests are being filled at each opening date. Any Find A Grave volunteers in the area are encouraged to come and join the effort.
