|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The nine listings included at this cemetery site were taken from a paper by Steve Saarinen - THE ALLEN BROTHERS AND THE FACTORIES ON BIG BEAR CREEK - 20 Nov 1981. During his research, he recorded names at the cemetery. Excerpt from paper - A cemetery is still in evidence about one—fourth mile north of the Lang Allen homesite. Old Zion Church?? It is on the west side of the road opposite to where the Phil Campbell road branches off. This is still known to older residents as the Factory Cemetery. The last burial there was in 1912. There are many graves marked only with fieldstone tombs and nine with named markers. These are the graves of William M. King (March 10, 1838 - Oct. 3, 1882), R. S. S. Bull (June 17, 1812 - March 27, 1887), John T. Keplinger (Nov. 5. 1875 - Oct. 25, 1888), Bertha Keplinger (Feb. 7, 1881 - Oct. 18, 1888), Dorsey Deral McMurry (April 16, 1898 - Aug. 30, 1899), Dallas P. Tessner (Aug. 15, 1868 - Sept. 10, 1877), Martha Tesseneer (May 23, 1850 - Oct. 10, 1878) wife of H. C. Tesseneer, Emma Tesseneer (Aug. 8, 1878 — Dec 6, 1878), and a colored woman, Aunt Mary (b.
