County Roscommon Ireland
|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Roscommon, in the townland of Ardsallah Beg, is situated 90 miles west of Dublin and 47 miles east of Galway. Roscommon Cemetery is essentially a Roman Catholic Cemetery, but there are graves of other religious denominations here.
It was established in 1912, with upright and recumbent grave markers of varying materials and designs, dating from 1912 to the present day. Memorials depict the Stations of the Cross throughout the cemetery. There is a single-storey stone gate lodge to the north east side of the cemetery adjacent to the entrance gate. The site is bounded by a concrete wall with two entrances to the north.
