|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The cemetery derives its name from the first two interments. According to Cottrell family historians, the first burial was one-year old Abram Cottrell who died August 10, 1840. Seven months later six-year old Lakin Chapman died March 3, 1841, and so was the second interment of record. This pioneer cemetery was restored following neglect and abuse. Restoration was completed September/October 2005. Located on Reformatory Road, 3/4 miles east of State Road 13, on the south side of the road, and 1 mile west of Ingalls, Madison County, Indiana.
