Cemetery notes and/or description:
Just outside of Grapeland city limits, south, this cemetery has one acre in current use, with several acres in reserve and enclosed by a cyclone fence on three sides. The first burial was in 1873, Martha Cannady Brimberry Murdock, wife of landowner H.S. Murdock. She had requested that she be buried in the southeast corner of their tract under some large pines.
