Killarney (from the Irish: Cill Airne meaning "church of sloes") is a town in the Province of Munster in County Kerry, southwestern Ireland. The town is located north of the MacGillicuddy Reeks, on the north eastern shore of Lough Lein/Leane which are part of Killarney National Park. The town and its surrounding region is home to St. Mary's Cathedral, Ross Castle, Muckross Abbey, Torc Waterfall and Gap of Dunloe.
It is twinned with the following US cities:
Concord, North Carolina
Cooper City, Florida
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
The cemetery is 300 yards West of the Tralee road and belongs to the County Board of Health.
There are 4 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 war here.
