|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
5.8 miles northwest of Warrenton, VA on the south side of Route #691, .3 miles south of Route #628.
This was the home of Daniel Payne (1784-1860). To reach the cemetery, Brooke Payne author of "The Paynes of Virginia", (1937) says to take the Old Waterloo Road out of Warrenton, leaving the same at a place called Ade Forks and proceeding Northward for about a mile; Granville is then on the right side.
By a majestic oak tree, the graveyard was about 500 yards from the rear of the house, surrounded by a stone wall.
