|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located on Connelly Springs Road, south of the Dry Ponds Road intersection;
cemetery is visible from the road and easily accessible.
As reflected on the death certificates of several of those buried here, this was the cemetery of the old Trinity Lutheran Church organized in 1883, but which no longer exists. It is believed that
Trinity was originally called "Lutz Lutheran," a name which disappeared from the Synod records about the time Trinity was organized. The first two deaths recorded in Trinity's church register are the 1886 death of a Heffner infant, followed by the June 1887 death of Polly Bolch, wife of M.H. Bolch. The register is held at the Caldwell Heritage Museum,112 Vaiden Street, Lenoir, NC. The cemetery has for many years been maintained by nearby Baton Baptist Church which was formed in 1950.
