Prior to 1932, this location was known as the Benbough Mausoleum and showed as such in early obituaries. Benbough Mortuary was a major funeral establishment in San Diego at the time. In 1931-1932, it became known as the Benbough Cypress View Mausoleum. In the middle 1960s, it was purchased by El Camino Memorial.
