|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Mount Moriah Cemetery, named for a newby Church, is located six miles out Highway 21 West on the west side of the highway out of Crockett. A fenced area sheltered by huge oak trees, the land was given by Mr Joe Williams, a teacher at the Mount Moriah School. The school is no longer in existance, but the Mt Moriah Church is still active. Later, Mr Mose Bromberg gave an additional acre for the cemetery use. An area in the northwest corner is left undisturbed because it is believed that there were burial places of white citizens (possibly Shoepeck, Shupak, families) there from earlier days.
