|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This cemetery is important because it is the final resting place for two Revolutionay War Soldiers, Jacob Redwine and Wharton Ballard.
Located in the woods just North of the Power Line right-of-way that crosses Gosdin Road, and South of Tommy Lee Cook Road. A more accurate picture can be seen using the satellite or hybrid image rather than the map.
About twelve graves are marked in this cemetery, most with stones. Only two have marked headstones, those of Jacob Redwine and his daughter Sarah Larimore. Wharton Ballard (RS-Pvt-NC) is also said to be buried here. His grave is believed to be the one marked with the large boulder. Also said to be buried here is John Powell, and at least two boys and two girls. The church burned about 1880 and was moved and rebuilt at a different location.
