The old Dial Family Cemetery is located near Gray Court, Laurens Co., SC. Martin DIAL (Patriot of the American Revolutionary), his wife Crystal "Chrystie" Abercrombie Dial, his mother Isabella Mae "Isabel" Hastings Dial, and other family members are buried in this old cemetery. There is a cemetery at the Dials United Methodist Church on the corner of SC-101 and Dials Church Road where some Dials and Abercrombies are buried, but Martin's grave is NOT located at that church cemetery.
Driving directions: Driving on I-385 S toward Columbia, SC merge onto SC-14 E via Exit 19 toward Gray Court/Laurens (3.5 miles). Turn right onto SC-101 (.02 miles). Turn right onto W. Main St./SC-101 (.04 miles). * Turn left onto SC-101 (2.6 miles) and drive to Dials United Methodist Church at the corner of 11828 Hwy. 101 S and Dials Church Road. Turn right unto Dials Church Road and drive (approx .25 miles). There are 3 locked Gentry Farm gates on the left side of the road. The center gate is the actual Entrance to the dirt road that leads to the old cemetery; however, you will need to make an appointment to get access to the cemetery that is down the dirt road and in the woods off to the right.
OR if you are driving on I-385 N toward Greenville, SC. Take the SC-101 exit, EXIT 16, toward Woodruff/Gray Court (.02 miles). Turn left onto SC-101 (1.7 miles). Turn right onto W. Main St./SC-101 (0.4 miles). (Continue with the directions above starting at the *)
