|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Many years ago, this small rural cemetery was located near the former townsite of RENO, IOWA. The cemetery is still in use; however, the town of Reno, Iowa, no longer exists. The land for this rural burial-ground was donated by Edward Porter, an early pioneer who settled in Edna Township in about 1856. Therefore, in days-gone-by, this pioneer cemetery was also known as "The Porter Cemetery."
