|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
This is a family cemetery located on what was the farm of Aquilla Standiford in Morgan Township, Harrison Country, Indiana. Until his death in 2005, the farm was owned by Coalma Warf. I do not know the current owner. It is near Palmyra, IN, north of Rt. 150, near the intersection of Apple Lane and Kings Lane. I have listed the graves that I know exist there, but many years ago the late Laura Beard Martin, a Standiford descendent, noted mid-20th century: "There are many gravestones thrown away. The cemetery contains a 1/2 A. deeded to the M.E. church by the Will of Acquilla Standiford. Many of his neighbors are buried there with graves not marked or with stones removed."
Indiana Cemetery Locations, Volume 4, published by the Indiana Genealogical Society (April 2009), gives the primary cemetery name as Standiford Cemetery.
The cemetery is listed in the Cemetery and Burial Grounds Registry of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and in the State Historical Architectural and Archaeological Research Database (SHAARD) with Cemetery Record Number CR-31-220 (Standiford).
