Brieulles-sur-Meuse is a village on the Meuse River located approximately 25 km northwest of Verdun.
Brieulles was taken by American troops at the beginning of October, 1918. The French National Cemetery was made in 1920 and contains 2389 French burials (1520 of which are contained in two ossuaires), 35 Belgians, 1 British, and 123 Russians. The Allied Plot is in the east-south-east corner, at the entrance, and the Commonwealth grave is in the east-south-east corner of the plot.
