|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Old Peck Burying Ground is located behind the CVS on North Main Street, Attleboro close to Woodlawn Cemetery. It is by the Branch railroad near Florence St. which is off Peck St. Hezekiah Peck settled there with Deborah Cooper around 1700 and was the first person buried here in 1723. See "A Sketch of the History of Attleborough"p.736-738, written by John Daggett and compiled by his daughter Amelia Daggett Sheffield, about the Peck burial ground. Many of the stones here are eroded and unreadable. The photos to the right show the appearance of the area in December 2007.
