|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Lakeside cemetery is divided into two seperate parts, known as Lakeside 1, and Lakeside 2. Lakeside 2 is located directly adjacent to Two Lakes Cemetery.
These cemeteries are located on the west side of Highway H, aproximately 1/4 mile east of Highway 13, northeast of the Duroy/Elk Lake bridge.
Lakeside Cemetery was originally known as the Worcester Cemetery. The city of Phillips purchased it from the Town of Worchester, who reserved the right to inter paupers.
Twenty-two veterans from the Civil War are buried at Lakeside 1, one from the Indian Wars, and five from the Spanish-American War. A memorial Day ceremony is conducted each year in the American Legion area of the cemetery near it's focal point, the flagpole.
Records for Lakeside Cemetery are held by the City of Phillips.
