Per the Linn County Historical Society, Goodrich Cemetery is located in NE1/4 SW1/4 Section 28 Township 20 South Range 22 East in Liberty Township, Linn County, Kansas. The cemetery was originally named Sugar Creek Cemetery, and Waller Cash was the land owner in 1858. He died April 20, 1859, and was buried on his land as the first burial. The cemetery was used by people in the area and was later named for the town of Goodrich and the Goodrich families in the area. John Samuel Goodrich was a prominent founder of the town of Goodrich, Kansas, and is buried in the Goodrich Cemetery.
