|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church was organized in 1953 and built by Mr. Marlin Elrod and his son, Troy Elrod. The land on which it was built was donated by Goodman Elrod and Richard Elrod, Marlin Elrod's brothers. Many Elrod family members are interred there. Forty one interments are in the cemetery.
It was within walking distance of his home and Marlin walked on Sunday mornings and evenings, even in bitter cold weather, to make sure that the church was warm and was otherwise ready for worshippers.
From Hwy. 400 going north, turn right onto Henry Grady Hwy. Go about 1/4 mile. The church and cemetery are on the left up a slight hill.
