|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
The Edwards family cemetery is what remains of the old Edwards plantation in White Hall, AL. The cemetery itself is very small and hidden among a grove of trees in the middle of a cow pasture. There are two separate cemeteries located on this property. One is for the Edwards family, one is for the slaves who worked on the plantation and later the farm in the area. Very few of the graves in the slave cemetery are marked; many are sunken in.
Graves in the family cemetery as well as the marked graves in the slave cemetery have been combined into one virtual cemetery.
Here is a map of the White Hall area. The cemetery itself can be hard to find.
