Cemetery notes and/or description:
The Bristol Farm Cemetery is located on a corner of the farm that was originally owned by Clymer,PA's first resident James Mix. In 1820 he sold to settler Simon Rixford, a widower who had moved to the area with sons Asahel and David. Simon, a Rev. War veteran, married local widow Mrs. Bristol and with her son George O. Bristol ran the old Mix farm on Mixtown Road in the town of Clymer, PA. Simon Rixford and his wife are said to be buried in the old cemetery.
The Cemetery is on a hillside off Mix Road in Clymer township and completely abandoned and overgrown with myrtle and trees. All the stones are down and damaged and buried in the undergrowth. I will list those I have uncovered so far. Visit for a more complete (though questionable) listing of those buried there.
