Church now a small Seniors Appartments
During the year 1860, a frame church
was built at Belle Ewart
and on Jan. 1,, 1861 It was blessed by
Rev. Father Jamot and dedicated to the
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.
The property was donated by
the Trombley family.
Father Jamot was afterwards made
Bishop of Peterborough.
A New church (Brick) "Immaculate Conception"
was built in 1910.
